Spartanburg County Public Works Department is unable to provide collection services for recycables to area business and industry. There is, however, a program available to business and industry interested in starting or expanding a waste reduction and/or recycling program.
The S.C. Smart Business Recycling Program - brought to you by the Department of Health and Environmental Control's Office of Solid Waste Reduction and Recycling - offers free, confidential, non-regulatory services including:
- site visits to assess reuse, waste reduction and recycling opportunities;
- technical assistance including telephone consultations and best management practices;
- research and contacts for potential markets, service providers and beneficial reuse;
- a state recognition program; and
- workshops.
